LED lighting is power-saving, using less than a quarter of the power required for incandescent lighting.

LEDs have a longer lamp life than traditional lighting. A standard incandescent lamp lasts around 1,000 hours, fluorescent lasts around 9,000 hours, and LED averages 50,000 hours, which in a domestic situation would equal at least 15 years.

Eco-friendly disposal

LED lighting contains no mercury, and does not need a special disposal system.

Unlike most lighting sources, LEDs do not emit any UV.
